As an institutional home to a large range of experts, from scientists and conservationists to educators and archivists, the American Museum of Natural History aims to support new intra-institutional connections between departments in order to strengthen the merit of proposed projects and maximize impact. Specifically, we are thinking about new ways to form and support relationships both with new and established PI’s that enrich the Broader Impacts of proposed work. We’re looking for co-presenters with some different perspectives to offer on this topic.
We are interested in hearing about the kinds of connections you are forming within your institutions. In a panel, we would like to explore some of the following questions:
• How are you supporting the creation of new relationships within your institution, perhaps between people and/or departments that don’t traditionally collaborate? • How are you strategically connecting the right people, across departments, to maximize Broader Impacts?
• And how do these new relationships enrich project outcomes and fortify your pipeline of new work and funding?
Please email my Assistant Director (Danielle Mazzeo) at dmazzeo@amnh.org if this topic interests you.
